3 Lakes Challenge

By Richard / 20 July, 2012

Andy and Tim, along with some friends (not Shei-leigh or Richard by the way who were busy doing other really important stuff) are aiming to do the 3 Lakes Challenge and support Shipley based health charity, HALE whose mission is to improve health where there is greatest need.

Taking place on the 22nd July 2012, their challenge is to paddle the full length of Ullswater, Coniston Water and Lake Windermere – a total of 35km within 12 hours. The 12 hours has to include driving between lakes, preparing the kayaks and getting changed, (clearly their Achilles heal knowing how particular they are about their appearance). At an average rate of at least 3km an hour (apparently thats fast), in single kayaks, they will have their work cut out to complete this challenge! There will be pictures so those that support them will be allowed to see them looking at their best!!!

With your help they can help this worthwhile cause and make a real difference to people’s lives. Hale is not a national charity but makes a massive contribution to the local area. Your donations will make a significant difference so please DIG DEEP!!! http://www.charitygiving.co.uk/andrewbrown
